Post O2 Sensor - How to?

I decided that the O2 sensor has to go. AFter my last post which resulted in my discovering it is suspect I tried the car once again. This time I decided to leave it connected and run the vehicle. Sure enough after about 7 minutes it started acting up. I then tapped on it gently under the wheel and things cleared up.

Anyway, it looks like it might be somewhat of a B**ch to get off. Any trade secrets out there on replacing the O2 sensor? I've heard of special tools or sockets to get them off, but, seems a waste for probably the only time it will get used.
Thanks again.

I replaced my O2 sensor with Bosch part number: 0 258 003 084 -000. I first disconnected the O2 sensor at its connector in the rear of the left hand side of the engine compartment in my '92 car. You have to dislodge the rubber boot attached to the wire where it passes through the engine sheet metal in order to remve wire. I then removed the shielding around the catalytic converter with a 10mm wrench, this allowed access to the sensor which I removed with a 22mm end wrench. I replaced sensor and shield, reconnected O2 wires and drove off.

Cupcar has the right idea. I guess I would use a box wrench, that might give better contact. The thing can come off fairly easilly if it hasn't been on too long, but some folks have a bitch of a time with it. One fellow (I forget who) even had the threaded part of the cat screwed up by the time it was off. Please do yourself a favor, and get the original Porsche O-2 sensor. some have had running problems with aftermarket Bosch. The new one will come with a special anti-sieze on the threads which may help in the future.

Thanks for the feedback. I've ordered the 965XXXXXXX part number which is the update for my ORIGINAL 964XXXXX number. Yes original part 94000 miles. No wonder it doesn't work...
