Any thoughts on what the best airbox/cone solution is for the 964? Subject car is 90 C2, lw flywheel, chip, B&B exhaust
Choices we're talking about: K&N panel with stock box, K&N panel with box top drilled, K&N panel with Weltmeister open-top box, Zucz setup, Powerflow(?) tube and cone.
Any help greatly appreciated!

How many times do you flip your lid and show off the engine? The K&N cone looks awesome, works great, lasts forever, and costs about $99.
I had an airbox with the holes in it and bought the cone afterwards, for reasons above.
In retrospect, I wish I bought it first, in case some yahoo wants the car as original (yeah, right - too many mods anyway).
You may want to consider that for yourself before drilling all kinds of large holes in the box...

Since we are from the sunny northwest, the method describe by Bill works best. We have so much rain to contend with. Cut the holes in the airbox, remove the airhorn, if you want drill an 1/8 hole in the bottom for drainage if you get into a monsoon. K & N's are great, but who likes to clean them.
