Porsche recommends 36F/44R for the 16" rims, and 36F/36R for the 17" rims. You guys running 34F/38R on the street (Jeff C, Bill G) have 17s, but Johnny G. has 16s.

Does this mean that those of us with 16s ought to try 34F/46R (front 2 pounds below recommended, rear 2 pounds above recommended)?

Phrased differently, why does Porsche recommend such different rear tire pressures depending on rim size, and does your advice apply regardless of rim size?

I think it's time for a new post. I'll include your question, Dave. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

one thing I learned is that when you lower the car you should also lower the exhaust pipe a bit, otherwise the heat starts to melt the plastic bumper bar. not very nice

Why would lowering the suspension slightly bring the exhust nearer plasic?

May need a pectur eto understand where you mean.
Only reason to ask is that i am shortly to get my car lowered slightly and dont want any issues that could be easily avoided.

Cheers

Nille, I think you may have a different problem? I've lowered my car and have no such exhuast issues. The two are unrelated, yes?

I think there must be a misunderstanding somewhere. Lowering your car doesn't bring your exhaust closer to the bodywork. It brings your exhaust closer to the ground though.
