Why does it keep stalling??

Dear Bill,
It is very similar. The difference is the time the pedal is held to the floor. I believe for your 1991 and up models with the check engine light, you need to hold the pdeal down for 3 or 5 seconds. I cannot remember off the top of my head. You should be able to reset the DME if you hold the pedal down for 11 seconds or longer,
I guess the proof is in the pudding. Maybe someboy who has a fault light can try the reset and see if it works. I am sure it will because there are distinct time frames used,

PS: Please all remember that a DME reset will not reset an Airbag fault.

hi folks,
stalling problem solved. Turns out it wasn't a fault of the components, just an engine out of tune (service guy said something about mixture at start-up being too rich....but not sure what that's got to do with stalling when hot! He wasn't able to explain how the engine got into that state after they tuned it at the service, which leaves me a little worried).
