new thread, think i found the problem? what do u think
sorry guys about all the dum questions, but iam just trying to figure out my little problem. so i knew that my primary distributor was not working by failing to start the car with the secondary disconnected. also, i know that my belt is fine cause the car starts and drives fine with the primary disconnected.
now, after doing a small surgery on my primary, came to find that everything was fine ( rotor and cap).
NOW WHEN I SWITCHED THE MAIN PLUG FROM THE SECONDARY TO THE PRIMARY, THE CAR STARTED BUT HAD A ROUGH IDLE.
so what does that mean?????
is the wire bad??
are the plugs bad??
do i need a coil??( not really sure where that is)??
i hope my thread was clear, and i hope it can help someone else with the same situation
thanks

ok, here is what happens, with the main primary plug on the secondary the car doesnt start.
now iam 100% sure its either the wire from the coil to the primary or the coil it self.
i dont think those wires are known to go bad, which leaves me to believe its the coil.
what do you guys think??

let me tell you, my little bird is flying again, i went out swinging on the highway for 15 min, now its running good again, well i still have to take care of few small oil leaks.
anyway, i hope you guys learn from my situation: most mechanichs dont care about your car, no matter how nice their shop is.
peace
