Default Correct sizes of 18" Tires

I know that Porsche recommends only 16 or 17"ers on the 964. But I have seen guys with 18's and larger on these cars. Is there a "correct size" or chart or TSB on this subject?

I want to get new rims, probably 17's, but for the right price I could go to 18's.

I'm running 18" on my '90 C4.
I chose the same size as on the 3.6 turbo, 225/40 in front and 265/35 in the rear...

Kevin,

That's a nice site. Liked the other pages on suspension and oil as well.

964Carrera4Cab - Did you have to roll your fenders? Are the offsets the same as the standard set-up? I'm looking at a set that were on a 964 Turbo. That's why I ask.
