Help with 1991 C2 Cab top repair!
I have a 91 cabriolet C2. Top does not retract (though front lock hinges do release). I can hear a motor whirring in the passenger rear side. Any trouble shooting schematics, links or help is appreciated. Not sure if the cables are shot.

Do a search, folks here have been able to get them fairly inexpensive from shops that deal with these types of cable all the time... no need to go with the original part on this one.

As suggested, check the cables on both sides. Also check gears that will wear overtime. If they cable are trash, make sure you get the new 993 cables which are quietier.
