Post Coil to distributor cap wire mix-up

Help!

I've lost track of my spark plug wires coming from the 2 coils. I don't know which coil wire goes to which distributor cap.

There is a forward coil (closer to the front of the car) and a rear coil (closer to the rear of the car).

Can someone tell me which coil wire goes to which distributor cap?

Thanks a million, in advance!

Erick

Erick,

I don't think it matters.
Can't think of a reason why it would.

Hi,

Shouldnt matter, but just make sure that the Coil HT leads have enought distance and aren't pulled too tight to reach the caps, they should have enough slack to cope with engine vibration.

If you have the original ht leads, you might well find that the details of which goes where are stamped into the rubber near the cap end.

When I removed the wires, I marked each of them with their location - before realizing they were already labeled from Beru! Duh. Well, when putting them back, I noticed that the wires from the coil were labeled exactly opposite as my markings. I may have incorrectly labeled them, but I've got conficting information on my hands and want to make sure I get it right.

Thanks.

The fit is dictated by the length of the wire. Besides it doesn't matter.
