Tom Clancy movie forget the title, the one with IRA Terrorists in the story line. Jack Ryan's wife was driving a 993, if I remember it correctly it was totaled in some sort of chase scene.

Tom Clancy movie forget the title....
Patriot Games, mentioned a couple of times above I think. IIRC it was a spoiler-less 3.2 or SC Targa in dark green. Very pretty!

Anybody knows the name of that movie?

lots of nice cars though !!!!
and the added advantage of showing you how easy it is to steal a 911
handy if you lock your keys in i suppose

taking this "off-porsche" ............ anyone remember a movie where a young couple kept selling the ferrari over and over again ??

There is still one for sale near here at Autowerken , local independant (no affiliation). Only seen it from the outside but looks like a nice car. Don't know if it is the same one but he wants £23995 for it. http://www.autowerkenorwich.co.uk/sales.htm
The one I saw Chris was a 3.2 that had been built to the exact cosmetic spec as the film car.The Turbo you mention in Autowerke has been there a while now, stunning car but some of the history is missing which must be putting buyers off.

I remember reading that they actually used two cars... and not the same for that matter... I will look at the movie again to see if this is true... seems there are different interior details.

There was a Black 3.6 Turbo for sale in the Dupont registry about 2 months ago in which the owner claimed it was the actual car used in the Bad Boys movie. The car looked to be in great shape from the picture, and I think I recall it stated that it was an original 3.6 Turbo.

I didn't take a close look myself, although it did look good. Didn't realise that the history was patchy, but your are probably right as to why it is hanging around.

How could we all forget Steve McQueen in opening scenes of Le Mans. He is driving a late 60's 911.
Just my 2 cents
