Hi

I just purchased another steering wheel, my car is the 1990 C4 (4 Spoke steering wheel with no airbag).

I like the looks of the 1991 airbag steering wheel and I bought one from e-bay which I thought it was the same but without the airbag function, but when it arrived I does have one.

Could there be any problem if I install the steering wheel although my car has no airbag functionality (I suppose)?

I guess the issue here is the same as when folks with airbags want to disconnect them and you might want to search the archives for comments on that. I think the wheel will fit but wil be left with an explosive device with a Porsche recommended life of, I believe, 10-11 years right in front of you. Personally I chose to replace my 11 year old wheel.

If there are no electrical connections to the airbag unit to provide it with electricity, then in theory it should not be able to fire.

Dear Alex,
The steering wheel will fit but the airbag pill will still be in front of you. You MUST make sure that the airbag connector is well insulated and cannot possibly get near the centre electrics of the steering wheel. Personally I like the 964 RS steering wheel design.
