Post ISV snorkel

Hi All,

On the post 91 engines with plastic engine manifolds, the ISV hose was changed from a bent pipe to a silenced snorkel in order to quieten the engine a little. The 993 used a slightly different design (a ribbed snorkel) apparently in order to improve the idle.

Just out of interest, has anyone tried using the 993 snorkel on a 964? The positioning of ISV to manifold looks about the same to me.

Ade,

I've been meaning to track down a 993 wiring diagram to see if the electrical connections are any different. I'll be interested to see if anyone has done that.

Jeff Curtis, if you read this post, how did your ISV modification work on your engine?

I was guessing that the 964 and 993 shared the same ISV part. Have they got different Bosch part numbers?
