What is it needed for

My car does not have the flexible "wall" of the rear spolier. Whta is it needed for? Should buy one and put it on?

It directs the airflow into the engine bay once the spoiler raises at speed....so yes I would get one.

So I guess it is specially helpfull in hot climates, rigth?

Yes. Needed. Easy to replace. The part just snaps into place.

I just replaced mine this weekend and it took literally 5 minutes. For a reference, I paid $71.20 (USD) for the part from the local Porsche dealership.
