If I'm not mistaken, the passenger side mirror is magnigied a little, or is it the other way around? Ever seen the stickers saying that things may appear closer that what they really are?

The bases are certainly different - if you look, 911 mirrors are in different positions fore and aft on each side of the car.
Never noticed the magnification thing, though. Is this true?

I can vouch for the difference in bases - and doors? I replaced my LHD Driver door with one from a RHD car. I bought a replacement teardrop mirror for a LHD car (not knowing there was a difference). It drooped to the point where it looked peculiar, and the view was poor. I didn't know what to think so we ordered in another. Only then did we realize it was due to the RHD door, so we ordered in an appropriate base (different part number) and that resolved the issue.
Reminds me that I still need to send those bases back for credit...

here in japan i have a LHD drive car, the LH mirror is flat, the RH mirror is curved, so the objects look distorted. also some japanese writing but as I can't read japanese, can't tell you what it says.
