Post Zymol Europe ? + Adrian question.

Hi guys,

Does anyone knows where I can order Zymol or P21S products in Europe ?

I can order/ship them from the US but than they cost me double price + import taxes as the are imported from a non EU country.

I tried also the UK site but shipping rates are quiet expensive too.

Is there any shop on the European mainland ?

In case Adrian reads this post : are you originally a french or german speaking swiss ? Reason is I imported my C4 from Switserland (Chavornay) and might need some help with some info but I'll let you know later if thats OK for you.

Tks to you all and all my respect to those who are always there to help people out.

WSP964,

Dont know if this may help you.

Just read yesterday on 911 & Porsche World that Halfords Car Superstores in the UK now stock Zymol Auto Wash, Cleaner Wax and Leather Cleaner.

I do not use Zymol products, but I think what they are saying is that if the paint is totally faded and no longer shines (this flat), then it should not be used.

Flat is a term used to describe the paint that might typically be on a military vehicle like a tank.

FTR, I sure HOPE you paint is not FLAT.

Cool

You can buy online from Zymol UK. Worked fine for me.

Dear Wsp964,
I am not Swiss. I am not even European. I am an Aussie from down under. However I have lived in Switzerland for 9 years and speak the various lingos around. Believe me, there are a lot of them as well. If you need any help with your Swiss C4 please fell to email me anytime. I can help because I also have a C10 964 C4,
Ciao,
Adrian

Like Adrian I'm an Aussie too and I've tried the cleaner wax, but I would like to try the carbon wax (for dark colour cars).
Has anyone tried that yet?
Does anyone know where it can be bought in Australia?
The cleaner wax is very good, I mean it smells like real coconut, and by the way it shines the car too.

Giday Stephen,

Tried the cleaner and the wax, both are great, but I think the cleaner gives the best overall result for the price. BTW the wax has to stay in your fridge, so it's getting in the way of the beers.

: )

I don't suppose living in London has anything to do with the value of the UK pound v. Kiwi $.
Anyway, amazon green is a great colour, when I wax my midnight blue C2 it looks black in most lighting conditions. I think that the darker colours age better (look more classy) than red, yellow, silver or white, except for concealing scratches.
I've thought about getting a dark blue texta pen to conceal small scraches, it will probably wash off but its easy and is a stop-gap measure until I get a respray.

Stephen,

Yep, it helps. Conversion is great when it works in your favour, going the other way was is not so good.

Did you go to the GP? Albert Park is fantastic. All the Ferrari flags on Lygon St, Great stuff.

You're right about the darker colours, although cars get dirty quickly over here, one drive and you might as well not have bothered cleaning it.

Ade & John
It's good to know that the guys from down under are showing their true colours "on top of the world".
You guys are really lucky having UK incomes to buy european 964's. I had to use the weak Aussie $ to buy a Porsche Australia imported and serviced 964 for big $$$.
Anyway, its "the cooter" to hear from you both.
Ade, no I didn't get to the GP in Australia, because my mate with the tickets decided he would rather earn $1,000 going to court, (he's a barrister). But I do live 1.25kms from the track and I did hear it and see it live on TV.
The best thing was seeing and hearing the F18's flying overhead, now that's horse power, and the sonic boom is almost as good as my 964 singing at 5000 rpm.

Can you folks buy Zaino products in Europe? I used Zymol for years and loved it, however, a few years ago, a friend put me on to the Zaino line and there is simply nothing like it that I've experienced. The darker the colour, the deeper the shine, with this stuff. The web site provides product detail and has an excellent section for detailing tips. No affiliation, just passing on my positive experience. http://www.zainobros.com/

Zymol is pretty good, I use it on my 964 and my 9 year old Audi that has to put up with all the elements here in the uk. It can AFAIK only be purchased from http://www.sportscarworld.ltd.uk/ online, the Halfords stuff is the cleaner wax (Milder T cut) and a SUV type body wash. Sportscar world have a forum, why not post some enquiries?
We did have a Zymol day last August, some guys from Rennlist, look through the archives it should tell you who came. I know they'd have an opinion or two, alternateivley Gary allowed me to post his pictures on my website, along with some blathering;-
