"I have made my own PST2 clone that works on all Porsche cars and is able to run the same software." - keithart -

You really mean you copied Porsche's copyright protected software.
There are some who are selling laptop versions of the PST2 which is a copyright violation.

Dealers are quoting $28,000 plus $1,000 per month subscription for a new PIWIS that they don't even have in hand to sell yet.
I thought PST2 was for 1996 to current. Yours works on pre-1996 Porsches?

The ebay link provided by Indycam is a good example of property thief just like copying
Porsche manuals for resale!

The PST2 interfaces with all Porsche cars with onboard diagnostics and the OBDII
connector or the early cylindrical connector.

Well... I don't want hacked or ripped off software. I'd rather have the real McCoy!

Maybe Rennlist, as a group, and possibly other sites as well (like Pelican) could make an orchestrated effort to lobby Porsche for better support for the older cars. I mean, seriously, what's next? No parts?

Why do we care so much about protecting Porsche when they don't seem to care about us ( owners of older modles) by making available copies if the workshop manuals even at their insane current retail price of $1500 for the 964 manuals?
If I recall correctly, the availability of Porsche Factory Manuals is a predominantly US-only phenomena, so, we're a bit spoiled in that respect.

I don't know that anyone is headstrong on protecting Porsche, rather, they recognize that there are copyright and intellectual property laws.

In the first post of this thread, Stoddard apparently is.
