Just thought I would post the pics as promised of the pin stripe interior - and include pics of the steering wheel upgrade at the same time...

Johnfm, I think the pinstripe interior adds another 5hp within the London area only...

Hi Christer
Nice pictures...I think that pinstripe interior still looks great, 80's or not. I still prefer my pinstripe interior on both hot days and cold days. Leather seats without air con is just a bit too sticky in the summer !!
One question about your wheel. Does the 15mm spacer make it difficult to use the indicator and wiper stalks? I notice that with the spacer, the speedo dial is fully visible which is a good thing. After looking at your pictures, you may have persuaded me to do the same upgrade...
Cheers
Anil

I don't have any problem with the indicator stalks at all and I don't have long fingers! This is a really good upgrade for me purely because of the space issue between my knee and hand. If I hadn't had that problem I would not have bothered with this - even though it looks good!

Probably not horsepower, but I bet the chicks were all over you like a rash...
Someone else said it was a 993RS - look wheel - it is made by Momo so not OEM. I got it from <a href="http://www.porscheshop.co.uk" target="_blank">www.porscheshop.co.uk</a>
Thanks for the feedback - I have understood that:
1. Steering wheel <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" />
2. Pinstripe seats <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[nono]" />
But I wouldn't have it any other way!

Christer,
Sorry to disagree, but I would guess that the wheel is in fact OEM. Can't imagine that anyone would be making an aftermarket version.
To my knowledge, the wheel was designed by Porsche Design, and manufactured by Momo. It was the optional airbag delete wheel first available on the '95 993 RS.
It has a factory part number (I can check the factory box mine came in if you need the number)and comes with the 993 Momo hub, all as one unit from Porsche.
Also, to add my vote, I love those pinstripes!

Unfortunately, I have to agree with those that claim pinstipe to be quite 80s. It just screems mafia to me and yes, I'm definitely a leather fetishist, even though it'll burn my butt off today.
California is going through a heatwave and when I pulled up to the office at 7.30 we were just breaking into the 90s.
