Default Air flow meter question

Can somebody tell me what is the fuction of this plug on the meter please?
Mine seems to have fallen away.

Its a casting plug to cover the chamber inside. In other words @ a cover @ lid @ top .
You could just cut one out of plastic and glue it in. Or get another.

Actually that plug covers a screw that will regulate the CO mixture. I believe is regulates the mixture by regulating the air that is bypassed around the vane.
