Beautiful pieces, allows the seat to be mounted low but with a wide range of adjustments possible. Hugely popular in the BMW world. These have RS America Machined in but, as we all know, will fit any 964. $175 a pair or package deal, $300 for all 4. Will work with most aftermarket side mounts

 

OK, long and short of it:

I wanted to add a fire extinguisher to my 964 and needed a bracket. Decided to go w/ Brey-Krause because I had their excellent bracket for my former Boxster.

Went to one of the premier BK distributors and bought the bracket – model R-2015 – TIG welded 304 Stainless Steel and allows full motion of the seat – driver or passenger seat.

Time commitments and the like had me delay it’s installation for 45 days.

When I finally got around to it, I discovered I had the wrong bracket for my car. I contacted the distributor and inquired about an exchange, hoping that they may, demonstrating good Cust. Svc., send me a return-shipping label and make the exchange seamless.

To my surprise, they replied that I would have to pay the return shipping (fair enough – my mistake not theirs) and also that since the purchase date was more than 30 days past, a 20% re-stocking fee would be tacked onto my ‘exchange’! I even called and spoke with the owner, who again, would not budge.

I could ‘eat’ the excess charges, get the right unit and go away with a sour taste in my mouth… Or, I could buy the proper unit (from another more accommodating vendor) and possibly benefit a fellow forum member in the process, leaving me with a slightly sweeter taste on my tongue.

This unit sells for $85 - $90 + S/H and includes all the necessary instructions and hardware to mount to the seat and for the extinguisher bracket it self. It is unused and never mounted and is still unopened in it’s original blister pac (the instruction sheet had been removed only, but will be included).

So if anyone would like a Brey-Krause model R-2015 (for non-powered seats) that accommodates an Averex 2.5lb. extinguisher bracket (others will work but might require drilling new holes), I will pass on the 20% restocking fee savings and sell it to you for $70 + actual shipping charges. Paypal preferred and will be shipped same day Paypal confirmation is received.
