Default Spoiler wall question

I recently discovered that my spoiler wall/curtain has a crack over almost the whole width. Replacement doesn't seem to be difficult but has anybody fixed this by applying solid black duck tape on both sides eventually? Applying the tape would still be easy as it is still holding together at some points.
On the below drawing is the spoiler wall/curtain part n°6?
Tx

Hi Kris, yes I did such a thing. But only to prevent it to from cracking even more.
I replaced the curtain wall a few weeks later.

There's a DIY page somewhere on the net. If you want I can look it up for you.
