Also a bit weird how they can't seem to afford to put decent signage up despite charging as much for normal petrol as you'd pay for racing gas over here. Grrrr.... bring back the petrol strikes, I say.

Maybe it's what you're used to. Some mates have just come back from Florida and they said the signs there were a joke.

But then I think Florida is a bit of a joke, period

Good question, Phil. I'm guessing with the enhanced security at our airports the P-car may set off a few metal detectors. I may have to borrow yours! (wink wink, nudge nudge)

You'd need to buy a TVR - they're plastic. Sorry, sick idea!

The oil price looks about right, but you did get all the other stuff done too! Interesting that Continental OPC only charge $2 more an hour for labour.

I head back to NZ in two weeks for Christmas, and to get married!

Then it looks like we are moving back as I have been offered an excellent job back in Auckland. Of course I then get to drive the 964 everyday!

Are you back permanently now?

Cheers

Neil,

Yes, I'm back 'permanently' now. There may be an urge in a few years to do another expatriate posting [probably to recharge the bank account], but I don't think I'm cut out to be a permanent expat.

Good luck with the wedding, and your trip back. Maybe we'll catch up one day at a Porsche Club day?
