Default Factory 3.8RS tail and Front Splitter

Anyone know the part numbers for these two items? Or better yet, know a source for buying them.

I know that some of the German tuners bought a bunch of both in the mid nineties. I also have an old issue of Excellence where the dealers were selling the factory 3.8 tails. If I had only known.

Thanks,

Stephen

Performace Products (www.performanceproducts.com) lists the tail in their catalogue in carbon fibre or fibreglass - don't know the product number but I can look it up at home if you need. They don't list the splitter but may also have it. Both are on my wish list.....

Thanks, but I am looking for the true Porsche factory part no's. The splitters were originally made of the same abs plastic as the original 965 under bumper. They were also on the Turbo "S".

Thanks,

Stephen

I believe either Automotion or Tweeks may have them...

I doubt anyone in the USA will have other than copies. They may still be available at Weissach.

I think (no pictures in the parts book) the part numbers are 964.505.202.80 and 964.505.201.80 "Bugspoiler rechts and links" respectively for the front.

964.512.017.01 "Heckspoiler" for the rear.

www.carnewal.com is your source, email Gert@carnewal.com for your parts request, the parts are not listed on the site.

Bring your wallet to the party.

CarreraCup,

Thank you very much. I have sent an email to Don. I will try and follow up with the splitter's from Carnewal. Tyring to figure out why no one ever copied the front spitter correctly? Does not seem that difficult to me.

Thanks folks.

Those are the correct part #'s for the lip spoilers. I have a source at the factory to purchase them, however he has asked me to go through Porsche Motorsports North America 1st to see if I can get them through PMNA. Phoebe at PMNA didn't want to help me until I sent her the email from the factory asking me to go through them. I'll let you know how it turns out. If it doesn't work out with PMNA I'll probably buy a half dozen sets direct from the factory and make them available to Rennlisters. Of course you could try to order them through your local dealer in which case they'll probably show up in a year or two ... or maybe never

There are copies and even copies of just the lips that you attach to the stock tray ... only problem is that they are all fiberglass and crack the first time they touch ground

It' s too expensive recreate the parts in the stock ABS plastic for such a limited market so no one has ever created the moulds etc..

Flachbau,

Thank you very much. Please let me know how the quest goes. I have located a pair of the originals. I have learned that they are riveted on to the existing undertrays from the factory.

I would be with you on this one. Please feel free to PM me.

Thank you.

Yes, the lips are a seperate piece attached on the stock tray. That's why some aftermarket guys sell fiberglass lips only. If you want to see a bunch of photos of these lips installed go to www.flachbau.com.
