Default got electrocuted

well after spending 2 succesfull hours fixing the fuel guage and the rear spoiler, i decided to disconnect one of the disctrbuters while the car is running to see how good it will run, and there it happended, bamm , felt like 220v back in europe.
is this normal????
after words, i turned the car off, and disconnected the primary one, and the car run fine and drove good.of course didnt drive to much, i was just curious

Of coarse it is. Even when the car is not running, if the key is left in the on position, it will knock your D!(k in the dirt .
On a serious note, if you had been barefoot, or kneeling on the ground when you pulled the wire it could potentially have stopped your heart.
As a good rule of thumb, and very well noted in every repair text that you will use, it states that you should always disconnect the batery before preceeding with any repair work. Especially electrical work.
