Cool Need to be sure! Brake bleeding C2

Hello,
Tomorrow I want to bleed the whole brake and clutch system with a pressure bleeder, and N O T using the pedals.

I replaced my front right caliper this week, so I bleeded that one, it worked fine without having switched on the ignition for ABS, but now I go thru the wole system for preventive service, and to see if they bleeded the clutch in the past......

What is important for tipicaly Porsche 964 C2, leave the ignition off or on during bleeding?
[In the past I did hundreds of road cars with ABS for brake bleeding, is this work the same?? Just for sure and be prepaird]

What do I need to know [I block the overfill line now, that I learned this week.........] so I can't brake anything

Need input from specialist please!!

I am not a specialist, but have learned that when pressure bleeding, be VERY careful that all pressure is vented before removing the cap (Too much pressure will remove the cap for you).If it comes loose, you may find a fine spray / mist of brake fluid over your paintwork. Must be immediately removed. I keep a spritz bottle of Simple Green within reach whenever I do brakes. It kills brake fluid dead instantly. Don't know if you can get it there, though.

Cool

Thanks Horst,

I found out myself yesterday, and without waste any fuild on the paint.

We have in our dealership a brakebleeder with a sort of aeroquip connections, so waste is nearly not possible.

I bleeded the brakes first, WITH INGNITION OFF, then the the clutch.
Everything worked fine, only I saw some air bubbles coming out of the clutch. [our bleeder has transparant hose, so you can see what is going thru is and how fast] Possible there was a small air part in the clutch system.

Bravo for the Padova Porsche Center [It], they did there work fine, all the brake fluid witch came out of the brake calipers and clutch cylinder was light coloured, so they changed it not so long ago.

Just that you know

Greetings,
Arjan

for future reference, all you need is a spare resivoir cap, drill a hole in it and put in a male connector for your comprssor hose. Have to turn the pressure way down, but you can do it yourself (except for C-4). Nice that you have a dealer in which you have confidence, though.
