Default Shift boot and Shift **** options

The car I'm looking at/probably going to buy, needs a new shift **** and boot. Any of you that have changed the setup, I'd like to see pics. The interior is the silk grey color, so I'm thinking a new grey boot, but maybe a black or hardwood ****.

TIA for the pics.

Okay- so i followed directions, but was greatly disappointed. I'm after pictures, not how-to. I'd like to see what people have in his/her car(s). Bigwrinklydogbollocks is no longer a website- SOL there; and I wasn't impessed with AG's site.

If anyone else would care to take current pics of the setup- I'd welcome the response. Thanks again

Hawk...I think you missed the joke!

I might add that the links provided were there to help. Also, I've noticed in a couple of threads you mention whether or not your impressed by the websites you are referred to. I might point out that generally you are going to find you are directed to the cheapest and most reliable specialist sites by Rennlist members as opposed to large flashy sites that provide a feast for the eyes yet little more.

In two years I have never, ever been steered wrong by a rennlist member on this board...I have had folks on this board going out to their garages in the snow at 12am to take pics for me, I have had members have their mechs call me on the phone to walk me through DIY, I have had parts, software and manuals sent to me in the mail by other members out of the goodness of their hearts...the list goes on. Point in case - a little politeness and gratitude will go a long, LONG way here...

okay- I'll sulk off- tail between my legs. I've got to learn the culture here, that's for sure. I can play or be serious with the best of them. I'm coming from a cycle forum that has the same mentality- help whenever/wherever you can. I'll try to keep that in mind when I flame someone back about his/her post.

I guess i'm used to flashy sites because that's what cycling expects- I'll reset my expectations. Hope I didn't offend- newbie begs forgiveness please.

Thanks for the advice and the candor. This is all new to me, and I appreciate the help.

Hawk - don't worry; the 964 forum is far too friendly for anyone to give or take offence.

the written word without seeing someone's facial expressions, etc like a regular conversation. I've been there, done that too many times. I'll try to keep in the spirit of helpfulness when posting/reading posts.

Has anyone seen the shifter **** with the crest embedded, rather than the shift pattern?
