Default Power steering seal kit???

Hello Porker fans,

I have a small leak in my PS unit. I want to do a seal rebuild but like the dual distributor belt, P would rather sell me a vvv expensive unit instead.

Anybody know a source for a PS rack seal kit??

Yes, I did a search 12 ways from Sunday!

Rebuild kits for power steering racks are available for the 944 and 928, have you try emailing them to see if they could put something together for the 964 & 993?

Jean-Pierre,

I happened across something the other day which might help. KLA Industries make a strut brace (which I have on my car) and I noticed that on their web site here they have a 993 Power Steering Rack reseal kit. I don't know if it's suitable for the 964 although I'm sure there are plenty of 964 owners out there who would like to know.

Regards

Dave

I found out that I could buy the kit from the ZF agent in Sweden. Find your local agent on zf.com and drop them an mail and order sealkit nr 7832 633 010 . Got mine in 3 days for just 55 USD! My car is a MY 92 so to be sure of the partnumber, first check the ZF number on your rack before you mail them. Good luck!

Thomas,

You are a Rennlister in the best spirit of the term: now if you could just pay your dues.

I will bring you a case of beer from where good stuff is made... during Porsche Parade 2006 in Sverige.Hope you can wait
