Gary

re 'spin' & 'no spin', are you on a damp road, or starting with foot on brake & letting it 'torque up' or what??

I don't get wheel spin in a straight line with my tip - I wonder what ratios you are running either in the box or final drive??

I ask because as bins mentions, the times a very good for a 'standard' tip.

Hi John,
The first 6 runs were on dry road, the last 2 dew was setting in and the road surface was getting a shine on it. Outside temp was 8c degrees according to my OBC.
The way I did it was left foot on brake, right foot on gas, zero the G-Tech meter, foot off brake and "ram" the excelarator to the floor-board keeping both hands on wheel and car in a dead straight line. each pull-off was started at the normal 800RPM and obviously dead standstill - no "torque-up"
My Tip also very rarely spins but if there is dew and/or you pull away in 1st it does spin a little.
I wouldn't have a clue as to what ratios I'm running - is there an easy way of telling and I will check and let you know.
"Richard 92 c2" and I drive quite a lot together and we both agree that it does have a vicious "bite" to it, but I don't know what is different from a std. C2. It’s a fraction louder than a std c2 but I put that down to the RUF s/s exhaust.

Cheers

OK, got the gizmo & did some runs. Best time I could manage was 0-60 in 5.78 secs, but think I could improve with practice & some dry weather! Decided to give up the abuse after wheel spin & a smelly clutch!

We've all had some good times, which IMHO are excellent for cars that are mainly over 10 years old!

Piers,

Thanks for letting everyone have a play with the G-Tech device. It is nice to see such trust among people nowadays. I have sent you an email asking for your address so I can return it to you!

Piers,

just received the g-tech from GregL and have managed to get some runs in already.

Here are my results:-

Did 5 0-60mph and 5 1/4 mile runs. 3 hp runs.

Averaged 4.6s 0-60, 12.7s 1/4 mile and 320 rwhp.

I believe Markdp is next in the queue.

Cheers, Mark.

Mark,

That`s really impressive for a tip.
Did 9M fit the supercharger? Do you have an intercooler or motec? How many miles have you done with it fitted? Any problems?

Tony,

9M did the main install and I have done about 22000miles on it so far. I added an intercooler, water injection and a slightly smaller pulley. Having a higher 1st gear means I don't lose traction which helps the times. Weather was also cool which probably helped.

I just keep on smiling, cheers, Mark.

Mark those times are damn quick, do you hit 60 in 1st?!

i had a few average runs, then dropped the cluth too high and it slipped like hell. That annoyed me a fair bit, so didn't do any more runs that day. Anyway a few days later, i managed a 5.26 0-60 which i was happy with. Here's a pic:

Thanks for a go with the toy Piers!

Richard,

sorry for the late reply, just got back to rennlist! Pulley was 2.6". Intercooler was custom made, started out as a chargecooler but ended up as an intercooler for various reasons. It all just fits but tightly. Only thing I lost was the electric engine cooling fan but then that is lost with the standard tpc kit.

The g-tech numbers matched what I got from the homedyno s/w application that I was using previously so I think my numbers are about right.

Piers, I have had confirmation that MarkDP has received the g-tech. Many thanks for its use, I've now got this out of my system and my tires will be greatful.

Cheers, Mark.
