German Autofest in Ventura, CA
I just found out about this. Looks interesting. Any Southern Californians planning on attending?
For those of you on the prowl for a P-car, the website claims the "For Sale Corral will be one of the largest gatherings of new and used Porsches® for sale anywhere." Don't know if this is hype or real, but that's what they say.

Hey Jeff,
The most recent issue of Excellence has an article on Porsche Parade 2001, held in Milwaukee. I know that's really the Midwest--not the Northeast--but aren't you in Michigan?

I am in Michigan -- that's a good option for me. One other question -- which will again show my relative inexperience but what does V Ram refer to? Is it something cheap I do to my engine and add a few hundred HP??

Hi Jeff,
Well, I'm afraid Porsche Parade 2001 has already passed you by. But, it was held in your area .
VRAM is short for Varioram induction. It's in my signature because I have a '97 993 Varioram engine in my '91 C2. The Varioram was introduced with the '96 993, and is good for about 12 hp--probably less with the 964 exhaust.
I know of several people that have contemplated adding the VRAM to their earlier 3.6L engine--some even have the unit in hand--but I'm not aware of anyone that has been successful as of yet. I believe (emphasis on believe) the main complication is controlling the unit. The '91 C2 "brain" wouldn't have such a feature, but retrofitting a '97 brain to run a '91 engine would be complicated/$$$.
How's the car running, Jeff? Well, I hope!
