BrizeyBee, welcome to the board.

First of all, OH MY!! ...what a collection.

I haven't checked out this topic for a few days, and has it grown.

Your collection is nothing short of STELLAR! ...love the RS Club Sport, and it's YELLOW!!

Just saw a Rubystone Red one, once raced at Hockenheim a couple weeks ago at Roebling Roads, in Georgia...what a car!

Nevermind "rolley-eyes" or anything else that could be construed as sarcasm, if it is truly sarcasm, you'll know.

Stick around, we need this kind of encouragement.

Brizey,

What type of maintenance do you make to the cars specially exterior maintenance, what do you use to have them in such a mint condition.

Also from what I have seen no Turbos in the collection?

ALEX

Hi Alex,

Never really been a fan of turbos (although one of my old Dragsters used one) . . .

If I'm honest, I love the early mechanical injection (or even carb) cars . . . simplicity itself and a wonderful noise.

As for 'upkeep' . . . just the usual wash and wax etc. My 'barn' is heated and seems to suffice. I learnt a long time ago that if you buy a 'good 'un' to start with it's easier to keep them that way . . . my 356SC Cab developed a small 'bubble' on the front bumber so I had that 'bare-metalled' and repainted . . . but generally I've been luck with what I've bought . . . they've either been very original, well-looked-after, one-owner cars or else they've had the 'neccesary' done before I got them.

I 'rotate' regularly . . . tend to use one for two weeks at a time . . . then move on to the next one . . .

If the weather's kind this weekend, the Speedster's gonna get a 'thrashing'

Regards,

BB

And again, thanks for the welcome

Adrian, you can register practically anything in the UK. Just the other day I saw a miltary tank/anfibious vehicle registered and taxed. I think I can top this one. On the M3 the other week, a mate of mine saw a guy driving a SOFA at 50mph. When he described it to me it reminded me of something I have seen on TV at some point. Anyway, this sofa was dar brown, had a TV on the front which seemed to house the speedo etc. and it had a fake arm on the arm rest so it looks like the guy is just sitting there watching TV and having a beer. Did I mention he was going about 50mph? LMAO...

He's a hot-rodder who's built some mad stuff . . .

He did that Bath and Toilet (complete with hi-level cistern) and a Speedboat on a Reliant Robin chassis . . .

I used to play in a 'Rock Band' for my sins . . . great times tho'

And the 'Briagra' stuff is strewn with 'in-jokes' form the VW Scene . . . particulary a forum I tend to 'inhabit' . . . www.volkszone.com/VZi

So if some of it didn't make sense . . . don't sweat it

Hi Brian

I've seen your cars in many of the magazines (the BB's and the BBZ's) but didn't realise the extent of your collection until last months article in 911&PW.

WOW!! The contents of your barn are what dreams are made of - I firmly believe that money is for spending and what better way to do it?!?!

How are you able to sleep at night knowing you have that lot to pick from in the morning?!

BB,

Thanks for sharing the pics or your amazing collection. I'd be very nervous "with all my eggs in one basket" during transport!!!!

Another one of those C4 lightweights has made it's way to the NYC area. I met the owner at the Greenwich Concours last year!
