Brizey,

Thanks for sharing, its amazing to see one person with such a great collection of historic cars.

Do you ever take any of them on the track? They get depressed if you don't! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Right now she thinks I'm towards the Munster family end of the weird spectrum. I didn't help my case by recently broaching the subject of buying - sight unseen - that German RUF BTR2 that was recently posted here despite the fact that we are in the middle of our 5th move in 4 years. Timing is truly everything!

Brizey, I am glad to see you still posting. As I hope is clear the pictures of your collection gave many of us a lot of vicarious pleasure and we are always pleased to welcome someone else who loves 911's.

Now what's this about a Ruf purchase? Perhaps a new post and pics are in order.

Excellent collection! Very impressive! Thanks for the pics! You're amongst a group of folks who can appreciate the air-cooled experience!

All above has been said so sorry not to add much - but I did want to ask if you are the guy (I'm almost certain that you are) who sent in a reply letter_to_the_editor in Porsche World. As I remember, there was an article on your C4 Lightweight, which mentioned that you almost never drive it. Then, someone wrote in to say that "you should drive your car - enjoy it!"

To which you replied (something like) "I have many other classic Porsches that I drive regularly, and I don't need a lecture from you. MYOB / buzz off, etc"

I must say that I thought your letter back was awesome! We get that here, once in awhile, when someone tells someone else what they should be doing, based on common thinking/assumptions (I do it myslef sometimes) - but mostly, people respect others' choices regarding daily_driver/ garage_queen, or straight_line/ road_racing, etc.

We're just glad to see fellow enthusiats out there and we're interested in their unique experiences.

Welcome!!!!

The 'original' letter was from a Dealer in the UK who'd taken his 964RS on a couple of track days . . . which obviously made him an 'expert'.

He couldn't have actually read the piece (just looked at the pictures? ) as he was talking about the C4LW as if it were a road-going 964RS.

Then he started on with "They're made to be driven, it's a crime to store it away" etc.

Just needed to wind his neck in for him a bit <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Brizey, quite a nice collection you have there. I would personally drive them a bit more, but can appreciate someone trying to preserve the value and originality in their cars as well.

at the risk of violating international copyright laws - is there anyone with a copy of the aforementioned article have a scanner! UK car mags cost more than porno here in the states - and that's when you can find them.

Brizey,

How about adding a 70's RSR to the collection? Those were absolute beasts....

I didn't say there WAS anything 'wrong' with them . . .

But we're talking Chalk and Cheese here . . .

LMAO!

And, YES . . . I had a little chuckle to myself when I read 'his' letter about taking me out in his RS to 'show' me

I'd just driven into work in the Ferry Porsche RS <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

"Great collection" he says through gritted, jealous teeth, wondering how the hell anyone has enough money & time to gather a collection like that!!

Just the private plate collection (all the BB plates) will be worth a small fortune.

Strength to your elbow - I am exceedingly envious - but in a nice, non-offensive way - even though I am Australian!

Brizey,

What type of maintenance do you make to the cars specially exterior maintenance, what do you use to have them in such a mint condition.

Also from what I have seen no Turbos in the collection?
