Question LHD to RHD Headlights

Morning all,

I have had my LHD C2 for over a year now and still have not got around to changing the headlights for RHD ones. I have simply had patches over the correct part of the lenses in order to avoid the wrath of other blinded drivers and in order to pass the MOT.

I have been offered a set of RHD lenses so I was wondering what is needed to change over the headlights. I know on some cars you can simply twist the bulb fixing to convert them to the other side but I do not know if this is the case with Porsches. Is there some simple quick fix for this or do I need to buy an entire new headlight assembly?

Regards,

Jim.

Jim, you need new headlamp assemblies - the pattern on the glass is different. Dead easy to fit.

Cheers

Phil

Phil Raby covered this issue on his Running Report for 911 & Porsche World magazine - reproduced on John Miles' website.
