Dont know the car.

What is the story with the seats? It doesnt have the standard cloth sport seats. They are the regular power leather non-sport seats. The write up calls them out as heated seats, but that was not a standard option. Did the factory or dealers install additional options outside of the regular 4 (AC, LSD, Stereo, Sun Roof)?

Do the RSAs even have the connections for the heated/power seats? I figured they would have been deleted.

This is an odd one. Of course the VIN is right for the series ... and a lot of customers liked the car for the wing and stickers and promptly loaded it back up with the accessories ... so why not add the seats? I suppose it made sense to someone.

The paint looks excellent in the pics. Have you seen the car?

Suggestion: check the car with Keith V. at the RSA.net registry ... he may have some history on it there.

If you look at it, I'd like to hear what you find!

I would say that those seats are less desirable than the cloth sport seats. I love mine. I see a pair on ebay for about a grand. Would be an easy fix if you get that car. It looks really nice.

It looks like this car’s VIN (PS419251) is good. It falls in this range from RSA.net. Built Jul/92 - Jun/93, PS419061 – 380. At least I know it’s a true RSA. I’ll find out from the seller what he knows about the seats. Thanks again for the help. Keep it coming.

Joe, I’ll let you know what I find if I continue to pursue this car.

What do you guys think of the price if turns out to be as nice as it appears?

Hey guys I know this car. Willhoit just bought it off ebay, for 32 and change from a guy in NY. The original owner replaced the cloth seats with those leather ones. The second owner ( guy in NY ) could have picked up the cloth ones when he bought it but elected to just leave them with the first owner. The car it self is in excellent shape, although I did not have a PPI done as I was bidding on it. Its had some minor paint work on the rear but nothing to be concerned about. The second owner, the guy that I spoke with was very meticulous and had all the records for the car. I may still have his email if you’re interested. I think it was a great buy at 32 and change, I was away from my computer when the auction ended and I am sketchy about buying a car without a PPI, I’ve been burned before.

The original eBay auction can still be seen and it states that the winning bid by Willhoit was $35,200, so he is trying to make $2-2.5K on the car after transport, etc.

If he's asking 42.9 and he paid 35.2 that is 7.7 k...I’ve shipped cars enclosed across the country for 1500. So 7700 -1500 is 6200. I am not saying that this guy's not a business man and not entitled to a profit but it’s a heck of a lot more then 2500. My shipping price is for shipping a 964 Speedster from Philly to LA. He shipped from NY to MO and he's a dealer and probably ships a lot of cars. Not saying that you should not consider this car but let’s be clear if we're going to look at this dealer’s margin here.
