source for thin, lightweight carpet to glue into interior?
Hi Guys,
I've removed numerous panels inside, and would prefer to cover the space with some carpet similar to what's glued on to the door area: a very thin, lightweight carpet (black in color). I've never seen this type of carpet at home carpet stores (or didn't notice).
Anyone know a source for this stuff? I want enough so I can cut and glue it on the rear shelf area where the speakers and backrests used to be in the back, to cover some cables and stuff.

Southbound in the UK do a lightweight carpet for the 964. I have one in mine and it looks the part.
BTW I did run mine without the carpet for a short time and the amount of extra noise without the carpet is amazing.

garrett - pehaps you can use the same carpet i use when i cover my subwoofer boxes...you can find several suppliers on fleabay like this one for example....

they do compelete Carrera RS interior carpet sets. Pre-cut and ready to install
it is not listed on thier site.

Hey Dan, thanks for the tip - I'll check that out!! I am looking for a less expensive route than the RS carpet sets... but who knows! Thanks for the leads guys!

i just trimmed my amp rack in the boot with audio carpet .
bought a grey 993 carpet to cut up , (usefull things them 993's!!) and the grey audio carpet is a near perfect match !!!
any car audio shop will give you a sample , and sell you a roll .
think its about £20.00 a roll .
