My sunroof opens and closes fine but the drivers rear corner is a little low and requires adjustment. I pulled off the inside cover and found a small flat head screw that seems to be the height adjuster but it just turns but doesn't seem to tighten...is there a nut on the other side...does anyone out there have any advise or is the screw just stripped????
Thanks in advance

Hi, DB.
You might want to look on the Pelican Parts site - I seem to remember there is an article about removing and refitting the sunroof.
O/T - I see you are a fellow X1/9er - I had 2 1500s years ago and am trying to decide this weekend whether to buy an immaculate 1977 1300. One owner, 18k miles and all-original!
( No rust!!!).

I adjusted mine ages ago and I don't remember it being a flat head screw. I think it was a knurled wheel - but there is an adjuster for the front and one for the rear - and the rear one is not easy to get to.

thanks for the info. It looks like i'll take the sunroof panel right out to get a better look at the screw to see if it is stripped.
I love my little fiat x/19, It was my first car purchase @ 19 years of age and it has great sentimental value

Derk, how did you end up fixing this? I think I have the exact same problem as you, the rear driver's side corner of my sunroof sits a little low but the sunroof operates fine. I was planning on fixing it soon, any guidance you can give would be much appreciated.

Look at the third picture in this Pelican thread
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...-87-911-a.html
See the knurled fittings between the bracket and the sunroof that the 8mm bolts go into. Those adjust the height on the sunroof. It was a bit of trial and error for me.

Pic three shows the adjustment for the front. Pics 4,5,6 & 7 show the flat head screw that adjusts the height of the rear.
The screw screws into a toothed piece of metal which engages with another toothed bit. Loosen off the screw a few turns push the panel up to the correct height and tighten.
