I'd love to know how much your car weighs in at... what a fun project!!! Thank you for sharing the complete project - we've seen the bits, so it's fun to see the assembled beast!

What a fantastic Job Robert, Hats off as they say.
Oh, Humpty Dumpty was a canon, fell off the ramparts in Colchester...........kings men couldn't rebuild it you know.
ahh the benefits of being an anorak........
kevin. who lives 3 miles outside Colchester

Robert,
Are you using GoodRidge 811 for your oil lines? You don't by chance know the length of hose and fittings required for the oil line hose that runs from the oil filter console to the oil tank thermostat? I can pull the lines myself but it would save me some time and serious aggravation if you had the measurements on a piece of paper sitting next to you.
What became of your extra-thin-walled titanium exhaust pipe coated with carbon ceramic and laser drilled, with the carbon fiber case? Did the carbon fiber case fail to hold up to the temperatures? Or, did it work out fine but you decided to go with a titanium case?
Personally I like the color combination; it matches the colors exactly of the Gordon & Smith (G&S) Nicky Guerrero skateboard from the mid-eighties.

Jason:
The hose is Goodridge G-Line XF. We made the hose on site and I do not have the length. As to the fittings, they were all specially made aluminum fittings (as are the oil fittings on the engine), metric on the inside and AN on the outside. In general, the oil lines are -16. Also, please note that the steel oil hard line from the oil thermostat console, the one in the right fender well (with the flattened section), the one on the right side of the engine and the steel sections of the combination hard line and flexible hose going from the left side of the engine to the oil filter console are now all aluminum.

As to the muffler, the pipe therein is titanium, laser drilled with in excess of 1000 holes and the casing is carbon fiber/carbon ceramic. Only the end caps of the muffler (as always planned) are titanium for insulation purposes.

Next in line there should be a catalog from where we can order some of this stuff!!
Any outside body panels that you plan to install also in CF?
What a work of art!!!

The only body panel that was made in CF is the hood (bonnet). From an engineering point of view, the body panels were considered too simple and, as such, were not replaced. The hood, which like the rear wing, will remain unpainted, was done because it presents the largest panel opportunity for weight reduction and, more important, to show what a truly good panel can be.

Three Wheelin'
Unbelievable, you aren't actually going to take it out of the garage, are you?
I tried to do something like that with the conversion of my Jag/Chev. (at least, under the hood), but it started to get out of hand.
And then I think about leaving the car with a valet parker, yea right!!!!

Tour de force in prototype engineering!!!
Looking forward to seeing it in person at some point.
The Oil tank turned out incredible - as did everything else.
