O.T. What car did you drove before the investment in your 964?
#46
Mine was and Audi A8 4.2 - will walk all over the 964 from 90 upto 130 but it had to go..... all my points I got with this car - since the 964 (past 2 years) I have no more points as it is much more involving (touch wood)
before that various VW's

To be exact, the Civic was owned by me, and the Alfas were/are owned by the lease company
The Civic was very cost-effective to run, and huge fun to drive. No power steering, wide tyres, light weight, fantastic gearbox, ... I loved that car.
The Alfas, being lease cars, were more expensive (as lease cars tend to be), but I made sure to get the most out of my monthly leasing costs
The last service of the 147 included
- new wishbones up front
- new stabiliser bar (sway bar for the 'mericuns here ) front
- new silencer blocks rear
and some other assorted mechanical thingies
Bottom line, the Civic cost me about as much as the 146 per month. The 156 was obviously more expensive, but it's in a completely different class. The 147 is only slightly more expensive than the Civic, mainly due to driving loads of non-work kilometers. (I don't pay extra for private use).
Cheers,
JW
