Looking to buy atop RSA prefer'94 but would consider '93
I am in the market to a RSA to track up at Lime rock and at the Glen. I want a low milege car (red or Black). I used to race quite bit with a friend in Sarataga Springs but he sold his car to some guy in California. He has a cup car now and refuses to bang his cup car around like he use to do on his RSA. My buddy smacked the rear quarter panel on every run.
I want a perfecct car....not one that seems perfert until i find the first sign of overspray....is the any honest RSA sellers left out there?

Why an RSA? A perfect one might cost you $40K. For that kind of money, you could get a dedicated track car with trailer and really have some fun. Not that an RSA could be considered a slouch but you would need to pour some money into the setup and gut it to hang with your buddy's Cup Car, approx 3,000 lbs vs 2,500. Heck if you want a great $40K dual-purpose car, you might want to consider a NEW C5 Z06 Vette: 400hp, 3,000 lbs and bumper to bumper warranty. What's not to like (aside from it not being a 911)?

Did you see the post on the mint cup from the previous post? not red or black and not an RSA and not the right year; but, mint and low miles.

I though I would share some of the numbers from my project, since I removed the entire interior from my C2 to replace with an RS lightweight interior.
Rear Seat Belt -3.3 pounds
Rear Speakers -1.5 pounds
Rear Carpet and Foam padding -28 pounds (I think this stays in a RSA)
Rear Leather Seats -14 pounds
Rear Leather Deck -17 pounds (I am not sure if they put this in the 94 RSA)

I just assumed that the rear seat weighed more than the shelf. I guess based on the last two messages, that might not be the case - or it might be closer than I thought.
Wow - according to those posts, the rear shelf weighs 22 lbs (does that count the 2 door assemblies - which I removed for my rool bar?)
The whole seat assembly weighs about 35.8 (not counting the deading and the carpet). I am not sure on this but I think the RSA did remove the sound deading - and just leave the firewall. I remember reading this. I stock RSA does seams a bit louder to me than a stock C2.
