Default Interiors

Hi, I'm in the process of planning to tidy up the interior of my '91 C2 cab. It's currently standard, full leather in a sun-bleached magenta/burgundy colour. The side bolster on the drivers seat has worn through, and some of the padding from the same seat has gone.
The options I'm considering are, repair and connolising, either original or colour change to black or replacing the whole interior, 964, or 993. Does any one have experience, thoughts or suggestions.
As an aside, would the 996 door card fit on my doors?
Thanks in anticipation

Raymone, it surely would help if we had pics to "look things over" and help!

this is next on my hit list, must be something to do with 1991 cab, I am planning on the re connelising, but the 996 door cards is intriguing.

Cheers

You can pop the car over to Southbound for their suggestions. It might even be easonably close to you.

Replacing some of the leather on the drivers seat along with the backrest padding will be the cheapest option I'd bet, followed by replacing the seats and perhaps door cards from a 964 or 993. Because of the labour involved retrimming the seats or door cards as new is the most expensive option (£900 for the front seats at Southbound). If you're considering changing the colour be aware of just how many bits there are to change; dash, knee pads, central tunnel, door bins, front and rear cards, B pillars, rear shelf etc. Would look fantastic, but costly.

Yes, Jack667, redyed is light interior to black and came away with a very nice result.

I had my Seats part re-trimmed 3 bolsters on drivers seat, and the pair of front seats connolised.

cost £420 IIRC

Done by Benchmark leather of Danbury which is in Essex if anyones interested, well even if you're not interested, it's still in Essex......

details of my seats are on my website yadda yadda yadda.........
