Help!!! My engine stalls

Jens, the airbox mod has been done by many, including myself, and does not seem to pose any such problems. It may be related to the fuel pressure regulator ( mine failed and the car would not idle ) or possibly the crankshaft position sensor.

Latest news:
The mechanic says he can't read the Fault Codes because he does not have a Hammer. (The dealer where I bought the car, which is now repairing it on warranty, is not a Porsche specialist). But, he says that the problem is solved now. Explanation will follow when I pick up the car.
The mechanic used to work for AMAG (the Swiss Porsche concessionary) so he knows his way about 964's. I am thinking about suggesting that he tries to read the codes with the Check Engine light. My car is a model made for the Swiss market.
Is it only US models that can be read with the Check Engine light? (After popping in a bulb, my Check Engine light does work, and stays on as long as the idle problem persists)

End of story…
I picked up my car tonight. According to the mechanic, the problem was solved by cleaning the air flow meter. Odd, considering that he initially told me that this was not the problem.
Anyway, the car runs fine so I keep my fingers crossed.
The mechanic tried to read the fault codes using the Check Engine light. Apparently, it didn’t work.
When I left he said “A bientot!”, which means “See you soon”. I hope not!
