Mirror wiring
The saga of trying to fit the teardrops continues ...
I have now found out that both of the teardrop mirrors I bought had LHD bases, so I am now on the hunt for a RHD base in guards red for the driver's side - don't suppose anyone got one going spare??
I took the old flag mirror off the driver's side, and was expecting to see five wires going into the mirror - according to Phil Raby's article in 911&PW and the other postings on this forum. But as well as the five listed, I have a further two wires - which are Green/Brown and Red/Green.
I can't find these wires on my factory wiring diagrams - please can anyone help with what they are and how I should reconnect them when I do eventually fit the teardrops? The car is a 1990 C2 Cab.
Thanks all,
Jeremy.

No, the heated mirror wires are two of the five I was expecting to see (can't remember which but I did manage to identify them on the wiring diagram). These two wires are in addition to the five and I have no idea what they are for.

They are the wires for the air temp sensor that is located in the mirror, for the OBC display in the tach.
