I want to re-size my images to 1280 x 1024, but they won't re-size proportionally to this. Anyone know of a work around without having to manually crop the picture? 3072 x 2048 is the size I'm startig with.

Hey Andy.!!

Actually - what I did for some of the off sizes - was add a "background" in a solid color.. So - on a photo of 3072 x 2048 - bring it down to 1600x1067 - and place it on a background of 1600x1200. Otherwise, you'll get distortion.. Some I also cropped to get to exactly 1600x1200 - but again, also size them proportionally, or it will distort them....

Looking forward to seeing how they come out for you!!

John

Andy, you will HAVE to crop the picture to avoid distortion and keep it proportional or do as JD suggests.

Thanks for the help chaps! I'm having trouble in adding a transparent background in Photoshop or Photoshop Elemtents. Any tips?

Just feel that the 1280 res pic in the wallpaper gallery is a little grainey & would like to have the best possible image up there!!

Cheers!

Andy

Use a image editor such as Photoshop to reduce the size. Or you can just email the file to John D and he can post it for you.

Anyone have a crisp Black 964 Targa side view I can use as wallpaper.
I'm going to "start" looking for one soon.

Yikes!!!!

These are absolutely terrific!!!! Iv'e been adding many as you folks have posted them...
http://gallery.rennlist.com/wallpaper/964

A couple of suggestions, though...

- Some may have missed my original post where if the files are too big, just send them to me in e-mail... To get to higher resolution wallpapers (1024x768 and above) - I really sort of need higher resolution pics, or they get "blurry" when I enlarge them.... My e-mail address to use for these:

admin@rennlist.com

- Right now we have slightly fewer then 30 wallpapers - ALL OF THEM ARE OUTSTANDING!!! My thanks! But - aside from John B.'s parents - is anyone using the 800x600 versions? It may make sense to boost the smallest image size to 1024x768? If so - I'll reupload the current desktops as well....??

- If we get 30-40 Wallpapers - it may make sense to catorigize them....

Again - my thanks to all - these are terrific!!!!!!

John

John,

One of the photos I emailed to you yesterday was a full size of one already in the gallery. Now we've got 2 of the same photo in there!!

Andy
PS. Not using 800x600!
