Default Big Red Caliper Brake Line Compatability

Hi guys,

Have tried to find an answer on the forum with no luck.

Have upgraded my brake calipers on my 1990 964 C4 to 964RS calipers on the rear and 993 Big Reds on the front.

Can I use the 964 C4 front and rear hard brake lines that go to the calipers? Or do I need to swap with lines specific to the new calipers?

Thanks,

Adrian

I think if the length is long enough then it should be fine.
I had the brake line upgraded first on my stock 1990 C4 brake kit front and rear.
Then later I upgrade to 964 turbo big red for front and RS for rear.
We use the same brake line from last upgrade despite the new brake disc are bigger.

Used 993 non RS calipers on mine and I did buy new brake hard lines but it looked like I didn't have to as they seemed exactly the same. Yours might be easier to determine, just check the PET for difference between turbo, c4 c2.

Thanks for replies guys I did look at PET and the rears look exactly the same. The fronts also look very similar. I think I’ll probably just get the 964 original hard lines.
