Default Anyone have a 964 Euro RS?

Has anyone on this board gone thru the trouble of importing a 964 Euro RS?

If so, any pics or stories to share??
I know someone interested in doing so.

thanks!

There's a gent who frequents the DE and Racing board named Steve Patti who helps individuals import Euro 964s and 993s. The problem with the the 964RS is that you will need to install airbags to receive DOT approval for street use. The 993RS comes with airbags so represents a smoother transaction for a street car.

Here's a thread Steve started a little while back covering this issue. Oh yeah, Steve's also a PCA Club Racer and campaigns a 964RSCS (Clubsport) so he's not simply some guy off the street (or internet). Perhaps others can vouch for him--he's from the Dallas area.

One option is a 964 USA Carrera Cup edition which is essentially a US legal version of the 964 RS with only some slight differences. Problem is they are pretty rare ( 45 brought in ) and pricey , but I did see one for sale recently in street trim for @ 67k with about 20k miles. They only came in white except for one red one out there somewhere. They are truly wonderful cars, light and quick. They are what the RSA should have been.

Does the RSA still command a premium over the standard C2? Wasn't it cheaper to buy in the first place??
