Golf clubs?
Does anyone know whether a set of golf clubs and bag will fit in a 964? My instinct says yes they will at an angle across the car behind the seats but.....does anyone know for sure?

I regularily fit 2 sets (carry bags) in the back of mine. Actually, I've had 3 people & 2 sets of clubs wedged in before now!! Must admit that I must have been the comfiest person in the car at that time though!!

Just the bag; the clubs had to be distributed in various places around the inside of the car. The bags were canvas and folded up. Also we only had a few clubs back in my day; a Driver, a Brassie, and a Spoon (woods), a long iron, a mid-iron, a niblick, and a putter. We had to go into the woods, in our bare feet, in the snow, to cut the shafts and wood heads. Then we formed the wood heads and forged the irons to fit the shafts, using glue and string to attach heads to shaft. We had to pick the ball stuffing out of the field too (in our bare feet, in the snow) and cover it with leather. And we liked it.

I have fit two sets using a small carry bag.
Take out the woods. Flip the back seat backs down. The two golf bags with irons only will fit across the back seat.
For every wood except for the driver it should fit at an angle starting at the floor of the back seats. Depending on the length and head size of the drivers they may require the passenger seat to be moved forward a bit.
Only problem with this set up is that it is highly visable so we do not park anywhere on the way to or from the golf club.

I can fit my clubs in back with the woods in the bag. It's a bit tight, but if you angle the set from the back corner behind the passenger seat to the corner closest to the driver door opening, they'll fit. I put the rear seats down, and then a black towel down over that. Then the clubs go on, and if I need some more privacy, I drape another black towel over the whole schmear.
So crazy that this 18-1/2-year old thread was resurrected by a marketing bot post (now removed by mods), and now we're discussing it again... The facts remain the same for these 30-year old cars.
