Default Spoiler Malfunction

With much searching I have not found anything that addresses an issue that began yesterday.

My spoiler has become non functional. Speedometer is functioning normally, and the warning light stays on at all times. No function from the manual switch either.

Where to start?

Check for +12V power & ground at the module. We'd repaired a number of these modules lately.

A good start is to determine if there are any mechanical problems, then onto the electrical as described in the page linked by 54064.
If all this is OK, I would have the control unit repaired. These are known to fail in many ways, component failure, soldering problems etc. I change a small handful of components when repairing these.
Cheers,
Tore

If there isn't power there would that point to a fuse or relay? Wondering if there is one that powers the whole system.

Since I am not experience the partial/intermittent failure that most seem to have, my first thought is fuse/relay.

If the control unit is the issue I will be ordering one of yours. Your components are top quality!

Or should I just finally go duck? hmmmm

Check fuse 37 which is for the spoiler and also test the manual switch for continuity. Aside from that, no idea and listening to Tore's advice is probably best.

If the spoiler stays up all the time I have found after fixing a few recently that it is the control module on the later single control module cars.

If @systemsc repairs these I have one I need to send out so I can get my good one back. He has been very helpful in the past.

We always repair and return the customer's unit, if requested.

Same issue here. Everything was working well after a new motor, a new "gearbox" and a new T Spoiler controller from Tore at Bergville. Car sat for about a year (sorry I got distracted tracking a Cayman). I put in a new battery and driving the car again. Now spoiler is "inop".

Just found the secondary controller under the seat and removed it per Tore's instructions for the T Spoiler controller. Still no joy. Going to follow the instructions here, as previously described. Let me know what your results are
