Default Good european parts site?

I have a car about to be restored in europe and am looking for the right parts site to guide the shop to use.

Looking for somewhere that has uprated suspension parts - bushings / tie rods / ball joints etc

I had some work done remotely where I couldn't check on the progress.
It was a $20,000 lesson.

They said they knew how to do things they either didn't know how to do, or just didn't care.
Essentially all the work had to be re-done, and some major suspension components were damaged (e.g. had to spend 3k for a new rear trailing arm).
If I'd been able to check on the progress in person I would have pulled the plug much sooner.

Anyone here from Netherlands? Would value a local to talk to on air cooled shops

If the shop doesn't know where they should get suspension components for a 965... leave it stock hah. Or suggest find someone who does suspension work regularly on 964 suspensions.

For parts? Alpo in Haarlem. They supply OE and OEM, as well as proper quality aftermarket stuff. They don't do websites, but if you call or email with a list they're usually very quick at getting back to you. Whereabouts in NL are you?

This is a really good company in the Netherlands. Parts you can buy from the companies above, or Mittelmotor or Rosepassion.

So you hired somebody to do your suspension and they don't know how to find parts? I would get it home first, there's nothing in Europe you can't get here.

Guys - you are making a basic assumption that I am a moron....

I wanted to price compare what they are telling me the prices are on the expensive bits.

Top european shops are 1/2 the rate as US shops at this point - this is a 20-30k job including other bits - why wouldnt I use a top shop there.

What would be helpful is

1. Do you know the shop - Car Service Visser just outside Amsterdam, Netherlands
2. What major retailers carry 964 parts in europe for a quick price comparison
