the WRX is a great car,IMO. Mine, in particular, is very fun to drive. The great thing about the STI,over a WRX is the selectable diff,if you're gonna track it.The 6 speed is nice too. I have driven someone's STI at the track and it's great fun too.... but my WRX would take it.

Yup, the WRX or STI are hard to beat on the track especially those that are properly tuned. I ran with several of them in a recent track event and it's amazing how these cars can corner with speed and ease. Two other cars on my short list is the EVO 8 MR and Elise. Descisions, decisions.........

The Elise IS a good car, I've driven one to an inch of it's life around Silverstone. It's a big comprimise from the 964 thoough. It's a case of passenger, or luggage!! Had the tail out on it & felt very much in control. Doubt the 911 would give me that degree of "confidence" though...

An Elise is firmly on my list of must haves, just need to get the 911 thing out of my system. It's looking like it will have to wait for quite a while!!

What's the pun? No substitue....

Andy,

Same here, but instead of waiting for the 911 thing to be out of my system (don't think it will ever). I have decided to keep the 911 as my daily driver, since it's a Tip, and get a 2nd car for the track with the money I get from selling the Z4. (I hope my wife don't read this post)

I've used my 90 C2 as a daily driver for 6 yrs now.Done 110000kms.Very reliable but not cheap to maintain.I still get excited every morning at the prospect of driving my 964,and sometimes I wish I worked much further from home!
