Default Steering rack removal question

964 C4 RHD - the clips for the hydraulic lines seem to be in the way of the chassis mount for the bracket?

The WSM doesn't mention anything, so I assume it's a case of keep on wiggling?

So may just be an RHD thing.

I removed the drivers side wishbone/side member in the end, then was able to remove the rack.

Next stop, rebuild.....

It could well be. The routing for the clutch hard line is only a pain on the RHD C4 so there are other parts on the car that are not fully optimised for RHD

Now the rack is out, if I want to flush the lines do I simply need to run fluid through the reservoir, or is it more likely to just drain out of the return line?

Back in. New rack bolts, and banjo bolts. The plastic clips that hold the hard lines to the rack were a nuisance on refitting, but fortunately I didn't snap either of them.

Had a super quick turnaround from Western Power Steering here in the UK.

They said some light marking has been caused by contaminated fluid so they've told me to flush the system so that's the next step.

Wondering if I should spray any light coating over the rack before the undertray goes back on.
