Yes, spot on
The 964 glass fits, it's tight, but it does fit.
I'll see if I can find a good photo, but you may find something on my Instagram, Any pics post February 2020 should have the 993 seals installed.

So, I was trying to budget for somewhat similar bodywork for my 964. I need to repair the front bumper, replace one of the bumper lights, and re-spray one of the fenders and the hood. Of course, there is some blending with the paint and so some other body parts would be touched. Also, I need to repair my door checkstraps mounting plates as mine are torn. I was quoted $30k to do all that about a week ago.

Seems high IMO. I have seen a lot more done by well qualified shops for a lot less. How many man hours do they estimate and what is their hourly rate. The most expensive part is the paint. What do they plan to use?

That honestly doesn't seem too out of line with what I've been seeing for similar work recently

Personally I do a lot of this work myself quite a bit and from my perspective the hours needed are inflated and that is the highest hourly restoration rate I have seen by a long shot. Some excellent shops by me charge a little more than half. Why is 32 hrs needed. If it is the windshield cowl that is usually a $3k job by me. Although no guarantee the windshield won't break, a god shop can just cut the seal and have no issues. Will there be supplements if additional rust is found? I would be very careful. To me I am thinking this is higher than I am accustomed to seeing. I suspect there will be additional charges and might try a second quote.

Could is not needed to be restored. It was repaired previously. I think the restoration would apply to doors, that have their check strap mountings all torn apart on the inside. The car has no rust.

I honestly don't know where I will be sitting cost wise on this yet.
In my case, I use a dedicated metal work guy that will handle the rust issues around the windshield and anything else we find.
A separate shop will be doing the glass, and i will get a new windshield on insurance. (It has a crack from a stone chip)
And then another shop will do the final prep and paint.
Disassemble and reassemble will be by me. (Which cuts out a lot of hours)

After several years of talking myself out of it, I am about to hop in the car and take it to be painted just returned from driving the car to my painter. Emptied of all personal and loose items, including the passenger seat. I expect some surprises during disassembly, but hopefully they'll be few.

I guess the total cost of all my replacement parts (gaskets, seals, etc.) came to about $2.5k, similar to what was mentioned earlier in this thread. The parts are still trickling in....... Most everything came from Suncoast. A few items from Pelican. I don't have my front windshield moulding yet to see if it's like Cobalt's. I suspect it will be.

The drive to the paint shop was short but sweet. The temps are great, windows down, a little Pharoah Sanders Live in Paris '75 in the background; I could have kept driving for hours.

@KirkF Enjoy your journey

Edit: I actually bought it all of the necessary stuff from Suncoast. That all was $2.5k. I bought Aero sideview mirrors from Pelican.

I will be picking up some additional seals myself for another project. I will report back with quality of the seals.

Is this the aero mirror kit you bought from Pelican?

Porsche Aero Mirror Kit Electric Genuine Porsche 964.731.901.00 964 731 901 00 96473190100 964-731-901-00 | Pelican Parts

Looks like it doesn't actually include the mirror glass. What did you do about that?

Funny how some cars seem to rust more than others. My beet up track car is high miles and sat outside most of its life with the rear window leaking and nearly no rust in the common areas. This is the extent of what I found and this car was neglected. I am noticing more and more single stage cars with this issue than base clear. I see there is a lot more work on your car than it presented itself with initially.

Considering the neglect I guess I got lucky on this one. My pristine C2 that is garage kept had a slightly smaller rust area.
