When you say the 993 uprights are way way lighter than the 964 ones, how much weight are we talking about?

so happens that I have both and both without hubs….

5lbs difference…per side. Basically half the weight.

Not a big difference on the adaptor weight, but note that the 993 unit already has integrated the caliper mount where on the 964, if you were changing calipers, there would be small added weight of the adaptor.

remember that when using 993 wheel carriers of either variety, RS or normal, you also need 993 calipers and rotors.

you should also change the rear calipers to 993 but can keep the stock rear rotors.

and while not absolutely necessary 993 m/c is highly recommended
