Default High Beam/Directional Control Unit

I want to change the complete plastic unit that controls the turn signals, high beams, wiper, etc. Has anyone done this? What is involved? What are the steps and is there anything I should look out for?

Paradise,
It's pretty simple to do. You'll need to remove the steering wheel, and from memory about 5 phillips screws. What are your symptoms though ? My headlights used to go out as I went over speed-humps. I cleaned up the pins and all has been well since.

Cheers,

Mark 90C2.

This discussion focused on the steps involved in trading out a stock steering wheel for an aftermarket piece. It explains how to remove the stock wheel which provides access to the column stocks so should be of some value. Good luck.

They are not cheap!
I think I was quoted £214 plus vat when found that mine had melted due to a previous owner installing 100 watt bulbs without modifying the wiring or using a relay to feed them.
Nottingham Porsche kindly did me a good discount on it though thank goodness.
Dead easy to swap though.
Andy
